Scanning PDF invoices adds up, both in cost and in time. Often, the suppliers sending those PDFs could already send e-invoices instead. With Request e-invoices, Maventa sends these suppliers a request to switch to e-invoicing on your behalf. The service is now available for Norwegian companies too, alongside Sweden, Finland and the Netherlands.
How Request e-invoices works
Request e-invoices is part of Maventa’s supplier activation service. It works in two steps:
- Find the suppliers. Maventa looks at the PDF invoices the company has received through scanning and lists the suppliers who are already able to send e-invoices.
- Send the request. With one call, Maventa sends each selected supplier a ready-made email asking them to send their invoices electronically from now on.
The email includes everything the supplier needs to get started. For Norwegian companies, it shows the company’s organisation number, VAT number and Peppol ID, so the supplier can add the company as an e-invoice receiver straight away.
Why it matters
- Less scanning. Each supplier who switches means fewer PDF invoices to scan and fewer scanning costs.
- Faster, more accurate invoices. E-invoices arrive with structured data, without interpretation errors or manual checks.
- No emails to write. Maventa sends a ready-made request to each supplier, so there is no need to write emails one by one.
Getting started
Norwegian companies use Request e-invoices through the REST API in the same way as companies in other supported countries. The request emails are available in Norwegian and English.
In Norway, e-invoices are received through the Peppol network. Before a Norwegian company can ask its suppliers for e-invoices, it must be registered as a Peppol receiver so that it has a Peppol ID for suppliers to send their e-invoices to. Companies that only use scanning need to register for Peppol receiving first.
